The M.A. Economics program has been developed with a view to provide an opportunity for those learners who wish to go for higher studies in economics. Students will gain in-depth knowledge about the core subjects like macroeconomic theory, macroeconomics theory, mathematical economics and econometrics. The primary objective of the economics program is to offer educational opportunities to students in order to prepare them to become accomplished citizens and professionals who are capable of critical thinking and independent analysis. Students will gain a competitive advantage at the postgraduate level with the rigorous educational program that integrates theory, econometrics and economic thought with applications in a wide variety of fields within economics.
The minimum qualification required to be eligible for admission is a Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% of total marks obtained (45% for SC/ST) in the cognate/related subjects in the entire degree course.
